Theodore M. Montalbano is an Associate Law Clerk with Pannone Lopes Devereaux & O’Gara LLC, where he is a member of the litigation, corporate and banking and creditors’ rights practices. He began his tenure at PLDO as a legal intern.
Theo has gained diverse legal experience through internships and clerkships in both the private and public sectors. At the Office of the Rhode Island Public Defender as a Rule 9 Student Attorney, he represented clients in misdemeanor cases before the Rhode Island District Court, met with clients, managed case files and reviewed evidence. He also served as a student teacher in the Pro Bono Collaborative’s Street Law Program, where he developed and delivered lessons on the American legal system to middle school students.
Earlier in his career, Theo interned with Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP in Washington, D.C., assisting the government relations team. He also worked with Connecticut Attorneys Title Insurance Company to support real estate transactions.
Theo earned his Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law, where he received the CALI Award for his performance in Legal Practice III and was recognized for completing more than 100 hours of pro bono service. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of South Florida.
