David C. Sweet is Chief Operations Officer at Pannone Lopes Devereaux & O’Gara LLC and a member of the firm’s Management Committee.  He is an executive human resources and business operations management professional with over 25 years of experience working with international, regional and local law firms.

Mr. Sweet has extensive experience and expertise in all areas of business operations, including finances and administration, employee relations, marketing and communications, corporate responsibility campaigns and client and vendor relations. He is the firm’s liaison to the nonprofit community and works with organizations on their volunteer campaigns and promotions.

In his executive position at PLDO, Mr. Sweet is responsible for the firm’s strategic direction, management, hiring practices, talent development, marketing, IT, operations and leadership training and coaching the firm’s administration team. He holds leadership positions in various professional associations and is a member of the Rhode Island Society of Human Resource Management and the Association of Legal Administrators.  Mr. Sweet is a recipient of the Providence Business News 2010 Forty Under Forty Leadership Award.
