Biography/Practice Areas
David M. Campbell is a Partner with Pannone Lopes Devereaux & O’Gara LLC. With more than four decades of experience in Rhode Island and Massachusetts courts, David represents businesses, contractors, design professionals, insurers, and employers in complex disputes at the trial and appellate levels. He is an experienced litigator whose practice includes commercial and business disputes, construction law, surety and insurance defense, professional liability, and employment law.
David has substantial experience in construction-related matters, including contract disputes, bid protests, delay and defect claims, public and private project litigation, and arbitration. He also advises industry organizations and business clients on risk management, regulatory compliance, and dispute avoidance strategies. He regularly represents his clients before state and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums.
Over the course of his career, David has successfully argued numerous cases before the Rhode Island Supreme Court, the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, reflecting the depth of his appellate and trial advocacy experience.
David serves as General Counsel to the Utility Contractors Association of Rhode Island and Associated Builders and Contractors of Rhode Island. He is a member of the Attorney’s Council for the American Subcontractors Association and the Forum on the Construction Industry of the American Bar Association. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Associated Builders and Contractors of Rhode Island and has been active in industry advocacy and government relations. David is also co-author of “Advanced Construction Law in Rhode Island” published by the National Business Institute and is a frequent speaker for business and trade groups throughout the state.
He is a graduate of Providence College (B.A. 1982) and Boston College Law School (J.D. 1985).
