Brian Lamoureux on AI in Legal Practice

At the Rhode Island Bar Association Annual Meeting this month, PLDO Partner Brian Lamoureux spoke on the growing role of artificial intelligence in the legal practice. Moderated by R.I. Supreme Court Justice Erin Lynch Prata and R.I. Superior Court Judge Brian P. Stern, the session explored the ethical and practical implications of AI tools in the legal field, including the Rhode Island Supreme Court’s Committee on Artificial Intelligence and the Courts, underscoring PLDO’s commitment to staying at the forefront of emerging legal trends and technologies.

Matt Reeber on Attorney Fee Awards

Attorney Matt Reeber also spoke at the Annual Meeting, offering an in-depth look at fee recovery after the Rhode Island Supreme Court’s decision in Tri-Town Constr. Co. v. Commerce Park Assocs. 12, LLC. His guidance is assisting other attorneys navigate this evolving area of law.

LaTri-c-ea McClendon-Hunt: Advocate for Justice and Reform

PLDO Senior Counsel LaTri-c-ea McClendon-Hunt was admitted as a Fellow of the Rhode Island Bar Association this week, after being unanimously approved by the Board of Directors.

Attorney McClendon-Hunt serves on PLDO’s Alternative Dispute Resolution and Special Masterships Teams and is a passionate supporter of victims of domestic violence. Her legal career has been marked by strong advocacy for low-income and domestic violence survivors, both in her practice and volunteer work.

In 2024, she was elected to the Board of Justice Assistance, a nonprofit supporting justice-involved individuals. Her recent honors include being named one of the “Top 100 Black Lawyers in Rhode Island” and earning recognition from Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® and Rhode Island Super Lawyers Rising Stars.
