PLDO Partner Brian J. Lamoureux will Moderate a Panel on “Cyber Security Resiliency” at the RI Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference 2022

Rhode Island – March 28, 2022 – Pannone Lopes Devereaux & O’Gara LLC (PLDO) Partner Brian J. Lamoureux, a prominent business and employment lawyer and litigator, will moderate a panel discussion on “Cyber Security Resiliency” at the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference 2022 on April 28, 2022 from 10:45 am to 12:00 pm at the Graduate Providence in Providence, RI. Panel speakers will be R. Mike Tetreault, Cybersecurity Advisor for Rhode Island, U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Brian Tardiff, CISSP – CISO, Chief of Staff at the State of Rhode Island, Division of Information Technology. The panel discussion is part of a two-day conference sponsored by Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court and the International Workers’ Compensation Foundation. Attorney Lamoureux is a member of PLDO’s Employment, Litigation, Cyber Law, and Corporate & Business Teams. His extensive practice areas include complex commercial litigation, employment law, construction law, social media law, and creditors’ rights.  In addition to being an accomplished business litigator, he is a frequent guest speaker and published author on various legal issues, including cybersecurity, social and digital media, and issues arising from the pandemic that impact individuals and businesses.  His broadcast appearances on topical issues in the news are extensive. He has provided legal commentary on WPRI-TV, WJAR-TV, WPRO-AM, MYRI-TV, and NECN-TV. He also created and teaches an MBA-level course called “Digital and Social Media in the Business Environment” at his alma mater, Providence College, where he is also a Practitioner Faculty member.

As a prominent member of the business, legal and academic community, Attorney Lamoureux is a recipient of a Providence College’s Excellence in Teaching award, was recognized by his peers and named to the “Best Lawyer” list for his Rhode Island employment law and litigation practices, and he was honored for his achievements by Providence Business News with a 40 Under Forty award.

Attorney Lamoureux holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island and earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Syracuse University College of Law. At the same time, he received a Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He is qualified to serve as a receiver in Rhode Island Superior Court.
